FR. MURPHY MEETS HIS SUPPORTERS: As a pastoral gesture to his many helpers in Kilcornan and beyond, Fr. Murphy who is presently taking a break from his African parish, will celebrate Mass on the three evenings of Thursday/Friday/Saturday August, 4, 5 & 6. These events will take place in St. John the Baptist Church Kilcornan at 8.00 pm, courtesy of Fr. Irwin. The work of Fr. Murphy in Africa would not have progressed to the extent it has, were it not for the missionary zeal of his friends in the area who share in his labours from afar. He will return to his parish on August 13 to continue this great work.
CEMETERY MASS: Will be celebrated by Fr John Donworth PP on Tuesday August 9 in Kildimo Cemetery at 8pm.Please inform relatives and friends outside the parish of the arrangement.
COMMUNITY EVENTS: Make a note of Friday September 2 for the Community Council Barbeque. COMMUNITY LOTTO JACKPOT €9,100 AND RISING: The Lotto draw on July 26, was for a prize of €9,050 and no punter predicted the winning combination of 9, 10, 14 & 20. These fifty five between the ages of six to thirteen were treated to fun training by club managers and players from the junior team. These same junior players are currently in training for the upcoming Desmond League. Leaders of the camp were Kyle Hayes, Daniel O’Brien, Gerald McKeown, Paudie Walsh, Tom O’Shea, Molly McKenna and Grace Morrissey who are thanked for their time and effort.
