The newly graduated Doctor Moloney has been engaged in studying this topic for many years now and he must be regarded as our local expert on the subject. Adare folk will be interested to know that he has also been the main force in having the freedom of Limerick restored to an earlier Earl of Dunraven, whose freedom had been withdrawn because of remarks made by the Earl which didn’t accord with the opinions of the then members of Limerick Corporation. Dr. Moloney has also been instrumental in having due honour bestowed on those who served in the Great War from Co. Clare, in which County before his intervention, the appropriate memorial stones were not permitted in the County’s graveyards.
