IT’S PARTY TIME!

The annual and much anticipated Seniors Party takes place at the Seven Sisters on Sunday, February 28. The Committee are looking forward to a large gathering of old friends and new ones also. This is always a great occasion to renew old acquaintances over a festive dinner and the dance that follows to which your friends are also invited. Should you require transport to or from the event, contact any member of Peter Hickey’s co-workers. There will be lots of spot prizes for lucky partygoers to take away as well as the Community Alert sponsored medical record boxes to place in your fridge. A member of that committee will explain how these medical record boxes work in the event of a health emergency in your home.

Lá Idirnaisiúnta Na mBan

On March 8 each year International Women’s Day is celebrated remembering the struggle of women past and present.

Later on that evening at 8pm, Newcastle West Library staff will be hosting their celebrations with an all male cast of entertainers. Once again Beidh Fáilte is Fiche róimh gach einne

The day is also being marked at Croom Family Resource Centre with a day of positive ‘Health and Healing’ on Wednesday March 12, from 10.00am to 1.00pm.
